From Shop to Stage: The Teal Catsuit I Designed for Both Performers and the Public

From Shop to Stage: The Teal Catsuit I Designed for Both Performers and the Public

Although I sell costumes to performers all over the world, every now and then I design something for myself first, and this time I have incorporated something from the shop!

The teal shimmering catsuit was chosen as a fun item for the store — something I wanted to wear under lights, with movement, confidence and drama.

It turned out beautifully, and I layered up some old and some new handmade peices from my own personal costume wardrobe.

I often build costumes that transition between my cabaret work and my customers’ needs. This one is a perfect example: a piece born on stage, but available for anyone who wants that same striking silhouette.

If you’d like to see how I use my own designs in performance, you can find more on my Snow Queen, walkabout and stage acts over on my performer website.

Why Everyone’s Searching for Glinda — And Why My Snow Queen Is the Act They’re Really Looking For

With the release of Wicked, searches for Glinda the Good Witch costumes, Good Witch outfits, and Wicked-inspired performances have exploded online.

But here’s the twist: most people looking for Glinda aren’t actually after a literal replica.

They’re hunting for:

  • ethereal pastel colours

  • sparkling embellished details

  • soft magic / whimsical fantasy aesthetics

  • glamorous show-stopping visuals

  • family-friendly winter-themed entertainment

  • Christmas or corporate party acts with a magical twist

And that’s exactly where my Snow Queen Shadow Screen Act fits perfectly.

While Glinda is all soft light and shimmering pastels, the Snow Queen carries the same visual magic — but with a deeper, more dramatic cinematic edge.

Think: ice crystals, silhouettes, winter enchantment, and a costume hand-beaded to catch light like falling snow.
